Francesco Esposito’s first encounters with     theater occurred in 1975, when he attended a mime workshop with Yves Le Breton, a course in traditional Chinese theater (chinese shadows) upon commencing his studies at the University of Bologna’s DAMS (Dipartimento Arte, Musica e Spettacolo).

This educational background along with his first theatrical experiences acquired as assistant to directors such as Pierluigi Pizzi, Luca Ronconi, Filippo Crivelli, Mauro Bolognini, Gabriele Lavia, Alberto Lattuada, Dario Fo, Jorge Lavelli, allowed him to develop a unique, deep and personal theatrical approach.

An accurate study of sources and the knowledge of lyrical theater needs, enabled him to emerge in numerous prestigious events, both in Italy and abroad.

His unique concept of lyrical theater is based on the necessity for the collaboration among conductor, singers and set designer, the diligent study of characters, and the analysis of human feelings and emotions.

Of formost importance is his adherence to the author and text, filtered with an analytical interpretation yet still providing the basic elements of entertainment and communication.

Francesco Esposito, along with his theatrical work, is often teaching in various specialized courses organized by prestigious institutions such as the Accademia Verdiana of Busseto, the Accademia Filarmonica of Bologna, the Accademia Harmonica of Modena and the Conservatorio di Stato “Buzzolla” of Adria.

He is the President/Founder of the Accademia Harmonica.
